HOUSTON, TEXAS- An analysis made using U.S. Census data published on California-based NerdWallet Inc.'s site on January 20 revealed that three of Houston communities are among the Best Small Cities for Families. These are great news for the ever-growing Houston real estate market.

School construction has also boomed in our city - construction of new high schools in Houston has been announced by Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Klein ISD.

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. is the builder behind the $128 new million high school in Cy-Fair district, and the $155-$175 million one in Klein district.

The Cy-Fair high school will be located at FM 529 and Westgreen Boulevard in northwest Houston. It will be built on a 179-acre site, and is intended to serve to about 3,000 students. Meanwhile, the Klein’s brand-new high school will be situated at the intersection of Cutten Road and Spring Cypress Road. The 83-acre school will welcome 3,500 students. Recently there has been a new office construction boom in Houston during the last 12 months. Office space under construction in Houston has reached the highest level in the area since the boom of the 1980’s, increasing by around 54 percent.
More than half of that space is already engage or committed, with large tenants that are moving or expanding taking the dimensions of the space.

According to recent reports, there is 19 million square feet of office space under construction in the Houston area right now. About 36 percent of that is corporate-owned office space, which includes Exxon Mobil campus in north Houston, Philips in Westchase, and Southwestern Energy’s in Springwood Village.

Paragon Outlet Partners has announced that is planning on building in the city of Rosenberg, which is just outside Sugar Land. The Baltimore-based commercial development company just reached an agreement with the city of Rosenberg and the Rosenberg Development Corp. which includes several aspects such as location and groundbreaking.
