School construction has also boomed in our city - construction of new high schools in Houston has been announced by Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Klein ISD.

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. is the builder behind the $128 new million high school in Cy-Fair district, and the $155-$175 million one in Klein district.

The Cy-Fair high school will be located at FM 529 and Westgreen Boulevard in northwest Houston. It will be built on a 179-acre site, and is intended to serve to about 3,000 students. Meanwhile, the Klein’s brand-new high school will be situated at the intersection of Cutten Road and Spring Cypress Road. The 83-acre school will welcome 3,500 students. The new high schools in Houston have no name at the moment - they are only named as High School #11 and High School #5.

There also further plans for High School #11 since it will leave some room for construction of a middle school and an elementary in the future.

It is already known that Cy-Fair has previously worked with Satterfield & Pontikes on construction and renovation projects on 20 campuses within the district. This upcoming project is considered as the largest one the district has granted to the company.

The new high schools in Houston are expected to completion in the next years - Cy-Fair’s High School #11 have plans to open in August 2016 and Klein’s High School #5 is slated to be finished in May 2017.
