A new outlet mall in Houston and close to Sugar Land will open its doors soon!
Paragon Outlet Partners has announced that is planning on building in the city of Rosenberg, which is just outside Sugar Land. The Baltimore-based commercial development company just reached an agreement with the city of Rosenberg and the Rosenberg Development Corp. which includes several aspects such as location and groundbreaking.
The new outlet mall in Houston - which is going to be named Paragon Outlets Houston - is thought to be placed at I-69 and Spacek Road. The city of Rosenberg has stated that the construction of the Paragon Outlet Partners location in Houston is going to boost the creation of 400 construction jobs and eventually 1,000 permanent jobs after grand opening.
According to Randall Malik, Rosenberg’s economic development director, the 400,000 square feet outlet is the first one in the southwest Houston region. He also expressed excitement when he stated that this is an opportunity to infuse “outside dollars into our local economy, and increasing our community’s exposure in the region.” There is also a retail boom around the city with a mixed-use property of more than 750,000 square feet where Camp Strake was located formerly, as well as supermarkets opening across the greater Houston area.
Paragon has expected to break ground on the new outlet mall in Houston by spring of 2015.
