The former site of The Detering Co, at 2900 Hicks, near Washington Avenue and Studemont Street will be home to a new gated community in Houston: Studemont Heights, which, according to a press release, will be “reminiscent of the classic brownstones of other metropolitan cities like London, New York and Chicago”, according to a press release.
The developer, Sullivan Brothers Builders recently made the announcement. The townhouses in Studemont Heights are about to begin construction and sales have already began. The first homes are expected to be completed this very summer. The plan is to develop 25 three-story homes on the site.
Prices of this wonderful residences will be around the mid-$500,000’s and each unit will have three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, with sizes ranging from 2,200 square feet to 2,400 square feet, plus sq. ft. of living space. The best thing is that many of this homes will enjoy views of downtown Houston.

Sullivan Brothers is also working in other residential development in the area, including one which will have 51 homes in total when it is completed. Five homes from the first phase have been sold so far. This development is located between Tulane and Ashland in The Heights. The homes are priced from the mid-$600,000s.
