A new master-planned community in Manvel, Texas by developer Rise Communities LLC is about to open its doors. Meridiana will be one of Houston’s southernmost communities and, when completed, will offer 5,500 homes. This new community will be located on 2,700 acres at Highway 288 and County Road 56, which will become Meridiana Parkway in the future.

Among the builders present in Meridiana there are Trendmaker Homes, David Weekley, Calatlantic (formerly Ryland Homes), Highland, Plantation, Taylor Morrison, Perry and Shea Homes. Model homes are expected to open very soon.

The developer has made sure to make Meridiana a very attractive residential offer by setting an amenity package that includes a partnership with the Alvin Independent School District to build on-site elementary school for the community, which will open for the 2016-17 school year. The plan is to eventually have three on-site schools. There amenity pack also features a dog ambassador, a guest suite on a 40-foot yacht, a glass conservatory and resort-style pools with lap and family sections.

Rise Communities also believes that residential development in the area is a huge opportunity as residents working in downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center could be drawn to Meridiana, as well as employees of companies such as Dow Chemical and BASF, which have operations in Lake Jackson.
