Ground has broken for a new luxury residential tower in Houston: SkyHouse Main. This new complex, aimed toward young professionals will be joining the other two sister developments by Atlanta-based developer Novare Group.

SkyHouse Main will be located at 1725 Main Street, directly south of the already operating SkyHouse Houston and located at 1625 Main Street, and will have 24 stories. This new luxury residential tower will also include 336 residential units, just as SkyHouse Houston, and 7,200 square feet of retail space.

Great location for young professionals

According to a statement from Novare Group, this mixed-used development is "targeting next-generation professionals who are choosing to live in urban centers close to public transportation, employment centers and cultural institutions," according to a statement from Novare Group.

“We are excited once again to join our local partner Peter Dienna and Batson-Cook Development Co. as we begin our second tower in downtown Houston," Jim Borders, president and CEO of Novare, said in a statement. "The market has responded well to the central business location, public transit access, the rooftop amenity package and exciting views of SkyHouse Houston.”

Some of the amenities that SkyHouse Main will feature include high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, luxury touches like stainless steel appliances, wood flooring, large balconies and granite countertops. Amenity packages offer access to the "SkyHouse" located on the top floor, where not only residents can enjoy stunning views of Houston, but enjoy a fitness center, club room, pool and grilling area.

The other SkyHouse development is SkyHouse River Oaks, located at 2031 Westcreek Lane between the West Loop and the Target on San Felipe and is scheduled to open this spring. SkyHouse Main, designed by the architectural firm of Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart, is expected to open in early 2016.
