McVaugh Custom homes has just broken ground on a new modern luxury community in Houston, located in the city’s Westchase district. This new gated community, Royal Oaks Courtyard Villas, is located next to the Royal Oak Country Club.
The home builder is currently building six model homes and six spec homes. The first phase of homes is expected to be completed later this year. There are plans to build 80 modern-style homes, ranging in size from 2,500 square feet to 3,200 square feet. Prices will range from the $400’s to the $700’s.
The floor plans, which features tall ceilings, open spaces and clean lines were designed by California architect Danielian Associates. The homes will also feature German-made Eggersmann and Miele kitchen appliances and porcelain tiles that resemble wood. In the exterior there will be courtyards with artificial turf and a six-foot masonry walls designed by landscape architect Summers, Murphy and Partners, an Arizona-based firm.
Homes will also be LEED-certified, which means electricity bills over the guarantee will be paid for by McVaugh. The community homeowners association also offers complimentary courtyard landscaping service.
