It has been recently announced that a new apartment tower in Houston will be built. Azalea Court, as it will be named, is located in the prestigious area of River Oaks, which also features an exclusive real estate market and lifestyle, filled with palatial homes and mansions.
This luxury apartment tower in River Oaks Houston will be located in the corner of Westheimer and Mid Lane, the 11.2 acre, eight-story complex is slated to open in June 2015. The midrise will feature 645 apartments in a 17-story tower.
According to the Business Journal, the building was designed by Looney Ricks Kiss Inc., an architecture firm based in Memphis.
The project is being co-developed by Dallas-based StreetLights Residential — the project's general contractor — and Austin's Stonelake Capital Partners. Stonelake purchased the land in 2012, intending to use it for a mixed-use development all along.
The apartments are only the first part of a mixed-use development, just like so many of Houston's most recent apartment projects, including Hanover's recently opened Rice Village development and the Galleria-area's BLVD Place.
