The Woodlands Children´s Museum

Nothing cooks up a Holiday Ho Ho Ho down like a country breakfast that includes eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy… and of course, Santa. Mingle the morning away after that “fine breakfast”, while meeting Santa for a personal photo, shaking hands with Olaf from Frozen and posing for a special photo, delighting in interactive moments with snow play and Christmas Sensory play, writing a letter to Santa, and creating individual Christmas art projects.

Children can “pan” for gold with the gold rush game, try their skill at roping a pony and take home a special goodie bag from Santa and treats from our candy bar.

The Woodlands Township invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center this holiday season.

The 21,000-square-foot permanent multipurpose facility features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, tables for parties and concessions.

The Ice Rink is located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands TX 77381, in The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion multi-purpose building/event center on the northwest side of The Pavilion at the corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines.

Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas is opening a 42,000 square foot movie theater located in Creekside Park West Village at 26543 Kuykendahl Road, 77375. The location was initially being constructed by Moviehouse & Eatery before being acquired by Cinépolis. The theater is scheduled to open fall 2019.

On Saturday, nearly 500 guests gathered at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott for the Spirit of the Woods gala benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands.

The spectacular evening was filled with stunning performances by Antigravity, a high-energy aerial and acrobatics group which showcased the power of the human body and spirit. Texas-based Moviehouse & Eatery was recently acquired by the Mexican theater company Cinépolis, according to a July 26 statement. Moviehouse & Eatery will operate independently following the acquisition and still plans to open its newest theater in The Woodlands area in November.

“Cinépolis shares the same high standards that we maintain at Moviehouse & Eatery, and it is the perfect company to take Moviehouse to the next level. We are excited that Cinépolis will expand the Moviehouse experience to people all across the country,” Moviehouse & Eatery co-founder Rodney Speaks said in the July release.

Fourth of July Parade

Wake up early on July 4th, put on your red, white, blue and get a prime viewing spot for the exciting South County Fourth of July Parade. The 1.3-mile parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. The parade begins at 9 a.m., with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and floats. A tent will be set up in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for senior citizens and the physically challenged to obtain relief from the summer heat. Roads in and near the route will be closed during the parade.
