The free spring concert series Rock the Row kicks off in Hughes Landing on March 14 and will run on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. through March 28 alongside Trailgating, a walk and run held before each concert.
Before each concert, a group meets at Fleet Feet at 1925 Hughes Landing Blvd., The Woodlands, at 6 p.m. for a trail run/walk. Appetizers and refreshments are available before the concert begins at the Hughes Landing Band Shell, according to a news release.
“By combining the Trailgating and Rock the Row events, we are able to highlight Hughes Landings’ focus on health and wellness along with the family-friendly entertainment options available,” said Jim Carman, senior vice president for master planned community and commercial development with The Howard Hughes Corp. “With its walkable setting along Lake Woodlands along with the Bandshell, Hughes Landing is the premier location to promote a healthy lifestyle and then relaxing with music from local artists.”
The March 14 concert series begins with Fidelity Maxx featuring Motown, funk and pop music. Country music is planned for March 21 by The Buck Yeager Band, and the final concert on March 28 features music by the Duderinos.
The Howard Hughes Corp. sponsors Rock the Row and Trailgating events, and The Woodlands Township serves as the park sponsor, according to the news release.
