Park Place Memorial is a new, 10,000 square feet shopping center in Memorial Houston developed by Rama Cos, a local firm. Park Place Memorial has a great lineup of retailers ready, including two new concepts to Houston, which locals will surely enjoy.
These two new concept include Piada Italian Street Food and Express Rolls, which had targeted Houston as a point of expansion. This new shopping center will be located along the south side of Memorial Drive, east of Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, just half mile away from Memorial Park. For the development of Park Place Memorial, three parcels were combined into a lot totaling 31,800 square feet and the existing structures were torn down.
Piada Italian Street Food is a concept which originated in Ohio, which features a fast casual setup with authentic Italian dishes, which include salads, hand-rolled piadas and pasta bowls. This will be the chain’s first location in Houston.
As for Express Rolls, which is is locally owned and will open around 10 additional location in Houston this year, it is a restaurant focusing on selling take-away healthy meals, such as sushi, salads and Asian soups.
The expected opening date of Park Place Memorial is next August. It will occupy a whole block which roughly totals three-fourths of an acre between Knox and Birdsall streets. The other three tenants will be Dunkin’ Donuts, located on a corner site of the shopping center, Omni Cleaners and Mattress One, a retail store which caters buyers looking for mattresses above the $2,000 price range.
