A new master-planned community is under development and hundreds of apartment units are being built. Valley Ranch is the name of this new community and it is located in Porter, Texas, northeast of Houston.

The plans, by the Signorelli Co, include two Class A multifamily projects which will total about 700 apartments in Valley Ranch. The master planned community has a size of 1,400 acres and it is located on Interstate 69, very near to the Grand Parkway expansion.

Responsible for the development of the apartments in Valley Ranch is Meek Partners, a Houston-based architecture firm, according to Danny Signorelli, founder and principal of The Signorelli Co.

It has just been announced that a new multi-use luxury tower in West Loop Houston is under development by Tilman Fertitta, owner of Landry’s Inc. This new building will be called The Post Oak, will be located on a 10-acre site and will feature, among other things, a ballroom, conference center, two restaurants and more than $1 million in landscaping.

The Post Oak will be a 35-story tower with 240 luxury hotel rooms, 120,000 square feet of boutique office space and 22 apartments units, which will have sizes between 1,000 and 2,000 square feet. The main feature of the tower will be the Chairman Suite, a 4,000 square feet, two bedroom unit with media and exercise rooms, private terrace and private elevator access.

The master-planned community offers amenities such as parks, lakes, sports fields, pools, clubhouses and hiking trails.

Pelican Builders is developing a new residential tower in Houston. This luxury apartment building will feature 17 stories and will be named The Wilshier at River Oaks. It will be located in the River Oaks District between Westheimer and San Felipe Roads.

According to Robert Bland, from Pelican Builders, The Wilshire at River Oaks is destined to become the most significant landmark building of all the projects that have ever been built by Pelican Builders in Houston. “The Wilshire is sure to provide an unmatched condominium ownership experience”, he said.

The Wilshire, which is being designed by Houston-based Kirksey Architecture, will be set at 2049 Westscreek Lane. It will offer 14 different floor plans ranging from 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom

Bluejack National golf course community is a new development in north Houston, which be anchored by a golf course designed by none other that Tiger Woods. This community is being developed by Beacon Land Development and Lantern Asset Management.

This 755 acre development is located at 4430 S. FM 1286 and will offer golf club members different types of residences, including condominiums, patio homes and cottage, with sizes ranging from 800 to 3,300 square feet and prices between the $350’s and nearly $1.5 million.

The Woodlands-based homebuild Tipler Design & Build LLC will develop 147 standard home in Bluejack National. Six additional custom homebuilders for Bluejack’s 239 lots are expected to be announced in the coming months.

As part of an attempt to revitalize the Near Northside neighborhood in Houston, the award-winning luxury homebuilder and apartment developer Lee Zieben has purchased a piece of land in Hardy Yards to develop a new Class A apartment building: Residences at Hardy Yards.

Residences at Hardy Yards will be developed through a partnership between the Zieben Group, the city of Houston, the CommunityBank of Texas and the Houston Housing Finance Corp., with the aim of redeveloping this industrial area located north of downtown Houston.
