A new gated community in Sugar Land is underway! Enclave at Riverstone is the latest housing project at Riverstone. It will be a joint venture between Partners in Building and Fedrick Harris Estate Homes.

The two Houston-based homebuilders have recently stated that they have purchased 23 acres to the Johnson Development Corp. - Riverstone’s developer - to start construction of 42 custom homes on the north side of University Boulevard in Sugar Land.

A new mixed-use development in Midtown Houston is about to have groundbreaking ceremony on a few days. This is announced after witnessing an influx of new businesses and building at the Midtown area.

Mid Main is a planned mixed-use development located on Main Street, south of the planned Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston.

The new mixed-use development in Midtown Houston, which is an architectural collaboration of Gensler, Rob Rogers and Will Cannady, will include 363 apartments units and 29,000 square feet of retail - existing retailers such as Natachee’s and Double Trouble will remain. School construction has also boomed in our city - construction of new high schools in Houston has been announced by Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Klein ISD.

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Inc. is the builder behind the $128 new million high school in Cy-Fair district, and the $155-$175 million one in Klein district.

The Cy-Fair high school will be located at FM 529 and Westgreen Boulevard in northwest Houston. It will be built on a 179-acre site, and is intended to serve to about 3,000 students. Meanwhile, the Klein’s brand-new high school will be situated at the intersection of Cutten Road and Spring Cypress Road. The 83-acre school will welcome 3,500 students. Recently there has been a new office construction boom in Houston during the last 12 months. Office space under construction in Houston has reached the highest level in the area since the boom of the 1980’s, increasing by around 54 percent.
More than half of that space is already engage or committed, with large tenants that are moving or expanding taking the dimensions of the space.

According to recent reports, there is 19 million square feet of office space under construction in the Houston area right now. About 36 percent of that is corporate-owned office space, which includes Exxon Mobil campus in north Houston, Philips in Westchase, and Southwestern Energy’s in Springwood Village.

New hospital in Cypress is now part of the plans of the Memorial Hermann Health System, which has expressed its interest in developing an 80-bed, acute care hospital in Cypress. There are also plans of building a community care medical office building and emergency center.

Considered as the largest health system in Houston, the news about the extension in Cypress are released after the Memorial Hermann announced the purchase of a 32-acre site in June - which was the one hole left in the system’s geographic coverage. President and CEO Dan Wolterman has previously said that Cypress is a booming area in Houston.
